Positive: I needed a cheap hotel in a specific location on a short notice and hotel Nira was exactly that. Once you are in the room, it is like most other (older) city hotels. Secure free parking right in front of the hotel entrance is a great bonus in a neighbourhood which is notorious for parking after working hours.
Negative: It is just a weird hotel to begin with. It is a floor of a much larger residential building. The entrance looks like other residential entrances in the same building. The door is locked and you need a code to open it. I didn't get the code until I called the number on the door. I was told I should have got a check-in email, but I clearly didn't. Anyways, getting in wasn't a problem after all. The communal areas were dated, but the rooms are in much better shape and are actually fairly comfortable. However, mine had some issues with cleaning. Linens were new and it was generally well cleaned, but there were long black hairs in the bathroom, in the corridor and some on the bed as well. Overall, a bit unpleasant. Also, quite misfortunate and random, but there was a very confused bat in the stairwell. I tried to get the poor thing to leave, but it was hot and bright outside so I couldn't.
